Knowledge, skills and progression in the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)

Long term overview
Our long term curriculum overview sets out the broad lines of inquiry that we want to follow on our journey through Reception.  We use it to support our play-based learning and to assist the transition between the EYFS areas of learning (known as Prime and Specific Areas - see Our Curriculum) and Key Stage One subjects (known as Core and Foundation subjects), so that children are well prepared for their next stage.

Knowledge and skills documents

Our EYFS knowledge and skills progression documents are carefully linked to Core and Foundation subjects that children will move on to learn in Key Stages One and Two.
